Care
- 01First burn: let the wax pool reach the edge of the vessel — roughly 2–3 hours. This sets the memory of the wax and prevents tunnelling.
- 02Trim the wick to 5 mm before every burn for a clean, even flame and no soot.
- 03Never burn for longer than four hours at a time, and always on a heat-safe surface away from draughts.
- 04Stop burning when 10 mm of wax remains, then wash the vessel with warm water and keep it for what comes next.
The place
Why Nida smells like this.
The last light on the dunes. Wild rose warmed by the day, pine resin from the forest behind the ridge, and the hush of the lagoon as the colour drains out of the sky.
