Sea Horizon

I didn’t want Klaipėda’s fragrance to have that typical blue, “ocean-fresh” character. To me, Klaipėda is far more intriguing in the evening, when the air by the water turns cool, the wood is heavy with moisture, the harbour lights reflect in the darkness, and traces of salt and metal linger in the air. That is why oak and amber form the heart of the composition—their warmth and depth evoke aged wood and the structures of the harbour. Sandalwood creates a calm, dry base, while lavender, cedar, and a subtle touch of vanilla soften the composition. White florals remain only as a fleeting glimmer of light. This is not the scent of a seaside holiday. It is Klaipėda after the noise of summer has faded.

Care

  1. 01First burn: let the wax pool reach the edge of the vessel — roughly 2–3 hours. This sets the memory of the wax and prevents tunnelling.
  2. 02Trim the wick to 5 mm before every burn for a clean, even flame and no soot.
  3. 03Never burn for longer than four hours at a time, and always on a heat-safe surface away from draughts.
  4. 04Stop burning when 10 mm of wax remains, then wash the vessel with warm water and keep it for what comes next.
